Seatronics has opened a new branch in Mauritius called Seatronics (Mauritius) Ltd based in Black River, Mauritius which offers all the same services as previously offered in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

  • Assisted as main sub-contractor with the installation of a new JRS Gmdss station at the NCG Headquarters, La Saline, Mauritius.,


M/V Angel 1

  • Assisted Five Oceans Salvage, Greece with the successful salvage and removal of the stricken bulk carrier from the coral reef off Poudre D'Or, Mauritius.

M/V Jin Fei

  • Assisted T + T Bisso(Singapore) with the successful salvage and refloating of the bulk carrier off Maputo, Mozambique.

M/V Bianco Zeeland

  • Assisted Svitzer Salvage with the salvage and repair of the vessel off Mauritius.

SEATRONICS HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED:

  • An AIS test set for testing + commissioning AIS units,
  • As well as for the annual class AIS survey.

Seatronics are pleased that ABS ( American Bureau of Shipping ) have recently approved them as radio safety survey expert company.

Seatronics now have approval from all the major societies, including

  • LLOYDS Register,
  • Various other societies.

SEATRONICS COMPLETES FOUR RAYTHEON ST MK II RADAR UPGRADES FOR P+0 NEDLLOYD CONTAINER VESSELS.

Working 52m above Quay level with the use of a 80ton mobile crane, Seatronics Technicians have carried out S+X band radar scanner unit upgrades on four P+0 NEDLLOYD Container Vessels.

This involved:

  • The replacement of both scanner units on all the vessels
  • The upgrading of the display software.
  • With winds gusting up to 4 knots at times,
  • A crane jib clearance of less than 1 meter, at high tide,
  • Funnel fumes hampering operations.
  • This provided a mean challenge, but despite this no delays were incurred to the vessels schedules or container movements.
