SEATRONICS COMPLETES FOUR
RAYTHEON ST MK II RADAR UPGRADES FOR P+0 NEDLLOYD CONTAINER VESSELS.
Working 52m above Quay level with the use of a 80ton mobile crane, Seatronics
Technicians have carried out S+X band radar scanner unit upgrades on four P+0
NEDLLOYD Container Vessels.
This involved:
- The replacement of both scanner units on all the vessels
- The
upgrading of the display software.
- With winds gusting up to 4 knots at times,
- A
crane jib clearance of less than 1 meter, at high
tide,
- Funnel fumes hampering operations.
- This provided a mean challenge, but
despite this no delays were incurred to the vessels schedules or container
movements.
Please contact us if your vessel needs a radar replaced or upgraded.
